Judgments in the Bible

  1. The judgment of sin on Jesus. The Father judged Christ for our sins. This judgment took place while Christ was on the cross (1 Corinthians 15.3-4; 2 Corinthians 5.21; Gaatiansl 3.13; Hebrews 9.26-28; Colossians 2.13-14; 1 Peter 2.24).
  2. The judgment of Satan and his angels (Matthew 25.41; John 12.31; 16.11; Colossians 2.15; Revelation 20.2,3,10).
  3. Judgment of Israel in time (Deuteronomy 28.15,20,25; Jeremiah 33.1-4; Romans 11.1).
  4. Judgment of unbeliever nations and individuals in time (Jeremiah 25.31; 50.24).
  5. The divine discipline judgment of believers in time. There are three stages: warning stage (Revelation 3.20), pain stage (Hebrews 12.5-11), physical death (1 Corinthians 11.27-31).
  6. Believers judging themselves by confession of sin (1 Corinthians 11.31-32; 1 John 1.9).
  7. Judgment of believer’s works at the Judgment Seat of Christ (Romans 14.10; 1 Corinthians 3.9-15; 2 Corinthians 5.10).
  8. The judgment associated with the tribulation and the second coming of Christ  (Daniel 12.1-2;  Ezekiel 20.37-38; Matthew 24.29-31; 25.31-46).
  9. Judgment of unbelievers at the Great White Throne judgment; God proves they are worthy of judgment (Revelation 20.11-15).
